Stillpoint House of Prayer is committed to enabling persons of all faiths to grow in relationship with self, God, the “dear neighbour” and the universe, offering a quiet space to “Come aside and rest awhile.” The contemplative atmosphere, availability of spiritual direction and the support of a praying community nurture life, growth, healing, prayer and the fostering of wholistic well-being.
Out of our mission to bring about unity and reconciliation, we live a spirituality that centres on relationships: our relationship with God, with all others and with the universe. The prayer of Jesus, “That all may be one” is our deepest aspiration, and we find our model for relationships in the Holy Trinity of Love and in Jesus, Mary and Joseph, who give this love a human countenance. Our characteristic spirit is a constant movement toward the “More” and this Ignation spirituality is tempered by the Salesian qualities of gentleness, peace and joy.
